Websites & E-Newsletters that Get Noticed

(Available to anyone in the U.S. -- on your schedule -- via the "online-plus" system)

An audio invitation from the instructor...

Do you want to jumpstart or freshen up your website or e-newsletter?

In this ON DEMAND online workshop, you will "virtually" begin or revise an engaging e-newsletter or website for your organization. We'll focus on your readers' interests and how best to tell them your story online! The workshop features an easy 4-step method for planning before you write, extensive written lessons, interactive homework and personalized feedback. We will also discuss design and technical tips and resources that you will need to continue your online project.

During the workshop period, you will work at your own pace! You will clarify your thoughts about your online project, commit your ideas to paper, and process lots of new information. In addition, you will have an opportunity to get all of your questions answered.

You will work on assignments at your convenience, and speak live with your instructor on two live phone calls. You will leave the workshop with a solid outline or revision of your project! Successful completion of the workshop will earn you an official Certificate of Completion.

A full workshop outline is available upon request -- just ask! Email Dalya F. Massachi.

Please note: This workshop is currently available only to those able to make long-distance calls in the U.S.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Social sector founders, staff, volunteers, and interns who contribute to the development of website content or enewsletters; jobseekers are also welcome. Past participants have worked at a wide range of community organizations, of different sizes, across the U.S.!

WHEN: At your convenience -- work at your own pace!

WHERE: Online, at your desktop

 What's an "ONLINE-PLUS" workshop?

This experience will allow you to learn at your desktop, at your convenience. You will communicate with the instructor via email throughout the workshop period. Two live phone calls (recorded for your convenience) will bring the content to life and emphasize key points. You only need access to your email account and a phone!

PAST PARTICIPANTS HAD THIS TO SAY:

"My experience in Dalya’s 'Casting a Wide ‘Net' Workshop was extremely beneficial to my work... [She] gave me some very insightful suggestions and constructive criticisms. In addition to these benefits to my own development as a web designer, the class assignments gave me the guidelines to create a proposal for a [whole] new website design." -- Anna Perlmutter, Special Projects Administrator, The Center On Nonprofit Effectiveness (C-One)

"The online/conference call format was great! Although I have taken on-line courses in editing and communications, this workshop was the first chance that I have had to have real feedback from others in the field of non-profit communication." -- Celeste Carmichael, New York State 4-H Youth Development Office

"This workshop benefited me in several ways. It jumpstarted a project on which I’d been procrastinating, partially because I’ve been delaying the redefinition of my consultancy. This forced me to clarify my positioning and messaging focus, which will help me tremendously in how I prioritize my client solicitation and other marketing initiatives." --
Risa Shimoda, Owner, The Shimoda Group

"The feedback...was very useful! The conference call brought it home and the contact made it feel more like a "class" and less like just more work to do...It felt good to put it [the information] into practice and brought various tips into focus" -- Rahdi Taylor, California Newsreel

"Very helpful in getting me started. As I work on more pages, I know the written handouts will become more useful…. I would recommend this workshop to others -- I think it is easy to do online and I think you are a good source for this kind of training."
